Leicester Citizen Sensor has been developed by De Montfort University for the City of Leicester, to position citizen science at the heart of Leicester’s future. It provides a platform for people living and working in Leicester to have their say on the state of the city, new events and initiatives, and to offer suggestions for how the city might be improved through local insights.
Leicester Citizen Sensor provides a platform for local people to get involved in the city, by providing a space for community-driven research and dialogue that supports smarter policies and decision-making in the city. By sharing insights into the lived experiences in neighbourhoods, the city is better equipped to make the right decisions about policy initiatives that impact us on a daily basis. The platform plays a key role in co-creation in the city, whereby citizens play a more active role in designing initiatives and recommending improvements to the city.
